Filipino Virtual Assistant Journey: From Small Town to Global Impact

On April 14, 2025, I returned to a place that shaped me in more ways than one — Silangang Malicboy National High School — not as a student, but as this year’s Guest Speaker for the Grade 10 Moving Up Ceremony.

From a small-town student to building a business that connects Filipino virtual assistants to global opportunities, this moment felt full-circle.

Reynely Dimalauan, CEO of JNB Exectant, shares her inspiring journey to success as a virtual assistant (VA) during the 2025 Moving Up Ceremony at Silangang Malicboy National High School. She addresses students under the theme “Generation of Unity Partners for the New Philippines.” The event was held on April 14, 2025.

How My Filipino Virtual Assistant Journey Began

I kept it real with the students. I told them about the doubts I had, the times I questioned if I was capable of more.

But I focused. I endured. I showed up again and again.

Today, I run a company that helps Filipino virtual assistants build careers with international clients—empowering them to work from home, earn well, and grow professionally. Our team works with business owners from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the US.

This isn’t just my story. It’s one that hundreds of others are now living, too.

From Barangay to Global: A Filipino Virtual Assistant’s Roots

The theme of the ceremony was “Henerasyon ng Pagkakaisa: Kaagapay sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
It resonated deeply.

Nation-building doesn’t start in boardrooms. It starts at home. In schools like ours. In classrooms where respect, kindness, and hard work are taught daily.

I reminded the students: The values you learn here — sipag, respeto, malasakit—will guide you wherever you go, whether you become a teacher, a nurse, a leader, or a Filipino virtual assistant working across time zones and industries.

Giving Forward: More Than Just Coming Home

Reynely Dimalauan, CEO of JNB Exectant and successful virtual assistant, stands with school staff as she receives a certificate and token of appreciation for serving as the keynote speaker at Silangang Malicboy National High School’s 2025 Moving Up Ceremony.

To the teachers and staff of Silangang Malicboy National High School—thank you for welcoming me back with such warmth.

To the students—thank you for listening with open hearts.

And to my younger self, who once sat in those plastic chairs wondering if dreams come true—I hope you’re proud.

This isn’t the end of the story. It’s just the beginning of many more Filipino virtual assistant journeys that begin in small towns and reach far corners of the world.

Because full-circle moments aren’t just about looking back.

They’re about giving forward.
